Hi, I’m Ian, founder of Barely Sensible.

I’ve been a collector for over 20 years, from 80s and 90s toys and retro games through to trading cards. What started as a hobby (and maybe a slight obsession) developed into a genuine passion for collecting, protecting and preserving the things we enjoy.

That passion is what led to Barely Sensible.

Today, we’re building Barely Sensible around one of the less glamorous but most important parts of the hobby: card protection. We stock a growing range of sleeves, inner sleeves, outer sleeves, toploaders, card holders and other protection products for collectors and players, including products from established brands such as Dragon Shield, KMC and Card Concept.

Our aim is to make it easy to find the right protection for your collection, whether you’re protecting a favourite card, sleeving a deck for regular play or storing a growing collection.

Alongside card protection, we also stock a carefully selected range of trading cards, collectables, toys and accessories from brands we genuinely enjoy.
