Hi, I’m Ian, the founder of Barely Sensible.

I’ve been a collector for over 20 years, from 80s and 90s toys to Pokémon cards and retro games. What started as a hobby (and maybe a slight obsession) has grown into something much bigger, a genuine passion for collecting, preserving and sharing the fun of discovery.

Barely Sensible was born from that passion. The goal is simple: to make collecting fun, fair and accessible for everyone, whether you’re chasing your first rare card or adding to a long-standing collection.

I’ve built this store with collectors in mind , fair pricing, clear listings, and a genuine love for the hobby at its heart. It’s early days, but this is just the start. We’re beginning with Pokémon TCG and more exciting product lines will follow soon.
